great game

i am rating this game 5 stars because it is a great game, i was able to run it on my 2009 macbook with 2 gig of ram and an Nvidia 9000m graphics card now i got a new macbook pro 2011 and it runs the game perfectly ***you guys did a great job at porting this game to mac***

Had to reformat my SSD after purchasing this game.

The game froze when I tried to exit, and I was unable to force the game to quit. To make a long story short, I had to take my laptop to the Genius Bar, and they had to reformat the SSD.

Now bring battlefront

Absolutely love this game, thank you so much for bringing it to the app store. Now bring on star wars Battlefront 2 and I will be a happy camper

screen issues

the screen is messed up on the macbook pro retina it is really zoomed in on both full screen and windowed need an update

Bieautiful

This game is awesome! i cant believe it is now on mac!

Screen Problems

Totally incompatable with Retna Screen. Wait until updates.

Sick game, but…

There are framerate issues, I find in single player the framerate drops and slows down. This obviously shouldnt happen so it would be nice if this problem could be fixed. I love this game, but the port is weak and needs fixing.

Great game

Great game, much better that Jedi Knight 2 where you play as Kyle Katarn. THat game is simply too hard, you get discouraged easily and just end up using cheats to finish the game to see the story. Jedi Academy definitely fixed this problem, and is an entertaining and rather easy lightsaber slasher.

Amazing game!

awesome game!!! Jedi Knight Jedi Acadmy 2?? if running on retina display and the screen is all zoomed in, go into system preferences and turn off automatic graphics switching (this will ONLY WORK IN FULL SCREEN)

HOW TO FIX SCREEN PROBLEM

I have had a nightmare trying to get this game to work, beause no matter how I started it, only the bottom left corner of the sceen was visible. This is with a 2013 Macbook Pro Retina display 15’’. God to Systems Preferences, Energy Saver, and turn “Automatic Graphics Switch” off. This only works in starting the game up in full screen. Best I can do. Otherwise, I love the game as much as I did when I was younger. I’m thrilled that it’s available this way, as I don’t have a disc drive. If you liked this game, another to look at is Jedi Knight: Jedi Outcast, which is the prequel. It’s a little tougher, but just as fun. Happy Gaming! 5 Stars for an amazing game with perfect graphics (once working) and gameplay. :)

multiplayer

when i go on multiplayer the servers don’t come up

Macbook Pro with Retina display

For those of you with a Retina, you have to go to your energy saver preferences and switch off the automatic graphics option. Once you do this the app will work just fine. From there you can go to the setup in the app and change the resolution to 1440x990 or less and the problem will be fixed. Hope this helps! Now you can enjoy the game!

Get this Game

This game is a must buy… Brings back good memories of star wars.

IT HAS FINALLY ARRIVED!!!

I loved playing this game on my old PowerPC Mac, but was saddened when the upgrade to Lion removed the ability to play this game. Let me tell you, this game was worth waiting for. Ill bet this game is the second best Star Wars game out there (Knights of the Old Republic being the first). It was so good, I wish they still made games like this. And the modability of this game makes it endlessly replayable. This is a must have for any Star Wars fan!

Everything I remember

Works perfectly, and is exactly as I remember from my old PC version. An amazing classic brought back to life, and the multiplayer is teeming with players!

I have no self control…

Classic game… I wish I had the option of using a Logi tech controller. I am definitely not a PC gamer….

Star Wars gaming at its best

Jedi Academy is the perfect companion to its predecessor Jedi Outcast. Jedi Outcast had a far more interesting story arc as well as some genuine character developement of Kyle Katarn. While the gameplay is expanded upon and vastly improved upon, the stroy of Jedi Academy is less lucid and Kyle who weve gotten to know and love for three games has been sidelined, now acting as mentor to the vacuous new protagonist Jaden Korr (so vaccuous you have to create him/her/it yourself). However, thats the greatest strength of Academy. Jaden is a blank character that allows the player to use their imagination a bit more. The customization and endless replayability, not to mention still beautiful graphics even by todays standards make Jedi Academy a must own.

What a blast from the past!

I remember years ago playing Jedi Academy and to see it on the Mac App Store is fantastic! The game runs as smooth as can be on my Macbook Pro (2010) with the NVIDIA 320M Graphics…frame rates, graphics, and textures FAR exceed the original xbox version I played before and gameplay is exceptionally fun, responsive, and fluid with a wide variety of gameplaying styles that take you on an immersive experience. A must have for any casual gamer who loves Star Wars!

Amazing Game But Missing 1 thing

This Game is hands down the best game out there. I play it alot and a great player on base. But For this game there needs to be an update so u can connect to Ja+ servers. It says downloading then stops because it cant download. You do not need what you are downloading becasue it is a add on that in the Pc verson u can download at your will. You can play base online fine which is good becasue that is where i play but if i want to chill i want to go to ja+. But this game is amazing and I am VARY greatful they made this for this Mac. I hope they will not stop there and will fix the current bugs. But Great Game!

game will not run

This game will not run on my system, even though MacMatch confirmed that it would. Ive had no luck with support, either. Buyer beware.
